Old MacDonald

Hey You, adults out there

In listening to your children's music did you ever wonder..........

Why does the song say "Old MacDonald had a farm"? What happened to the old farmer that he no longer has the farm.

I think I might do some Internet research on this idea.

Cooped Up

Today was too hot for me to go outside by myself with my daughter, so we stayed cooped up inside. She played so hard, I kept expecting a knock at the apartment door. Never got one. Although the neighbors, cranked up there music a little louder then usual.

I think our cat Tigger can read, he was acting all jealous toward me today. I was reading a Cat Who series book and he is not the main character. All cats are vain that way, thinking things have to be about them all the time.

Recently, a new PC game was purchased by my daughter. She used her hard earned money to get it, I pitched in and bought the extra memory (with her Dad's help). Its called, Zoo Tycoon2. Well she does not like it much right now because it is so different from the Zoo Tycoon Complete we used to own. Plus, the new one does not have dinosaurs on it. This is a crime in her opinion. Maybe time will change but this is quickly turning into a momie game as it sits on the shelf.

The video that came with it is worth having though, as it is interactive and contains 40 - 50 animal information bites. I guess each animal has 5 or 10 minutes of fame at most, I have never timed it. They cover birds, mammals, fish, invertibries, reptiles, and one other I can't recall.

Keep checking back as I have some book and movie reviews to post at the end of the month. Just a peek at what I get to do in my few spare minutes.

Introduction

Hi. I am in Illonois. I enjoy movies, parks, museums and spending time with my family. I used to live in the south. Our family has one cat.

The most recent book I have read is Brother Sun, Sister Moon about the Life of St Francis. I checked it out for the animal stories and artwork - but found the lifestory facts to be interesting as well. It is a children's picture book, but written to appeal to both children and adults.

I don't know what else to say at the moment. I have never written a blog.
